Do you have an app with all the event information?
No, we don’t have an app. All event details, including vendors, entertainment, and maps, are available on our website.

What time is the event?
The Forage will take place on Saturday 19 July, from 12pm to 9pm alongside Winter in the City.

How much is entry?
Entry to The Forage is FREE

How do get there and where can I park?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT 

The Forage in Petrie Plaza + City Walk is just a short walk from the Alinga Street Light Rail stop and the City bus interchange.

 

UBER DROP OFF

Take an Uber and get dropped right on the doorstep at Ainslie Place!

 

FREE EVENING CAR PARKING IN THE CITY

The following public car parks have free parking Wednesday to Sunday from 5:30pm to 8:30am:

· Theatre Lane car park (opposite Sydney Building)

· City Hill car park (Section 116)

· Canberra Olympic Pool car park (City southeast)

· Hobart Place

Is The Forage a cashless event?
No. Vendors accept both cash and card payments.

Are ATMs available nearby?
Yes, there are several ATMs located close to the event.

Is there a site map available?
Yes! You can view the vendor map on our website or find it saved in our Winter 2025 highlight on social media.

 

Do your vendors offer dietary-friendly options?
Yes. There’s a wide range of dietary options available. Please refer to individual vendor menus on the site map or our Winter 2025 highlight for details.

What else is happening besides food and drink?
The Forage features free entertainment, including live music and performances throughout the event. Find the program of events here

Are dogs allowed at The Forage?
Yes! Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and under control at all times. Please be considerate and clean up after your pet.

Will water be available?
Yes. Water stations and bubblers will be available and marked on the site map.

Toilets

Toilets are located inside the Canberra Centre

Will it be cold?
Yes—it’s Canberra in winter! There will be fires, hot food, and drinks to help keep you warm. We recommend dressing in layers, with jackets, thermals, and beanies to stay cosy.
