ABOUT US
Born in 2014 from the motto EAT | DRINK | GROOVE, The Forage is Canberra’s only dedicated, local street food event. The Forage connects the community by the power of food and represents local business at large by bringing together Canberra and the regions best food trucks, restaurants and mobile food and beverage vendors for a celebration of street food and fine tunes!
Everything we do connects back to local allowing the community direct interaction with Canberra’s food and beverage industry, artists and musicians. Known for being a little unpredictable, The Forage is held in a variety of locations across Canberra to utilise, activate and enliven community assets, precincts and spaces and is a platform to promote and celebrate the thriving and ever-growing food culture in Canberra.
The Forage acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which The Forage is held and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

Moving Towards a Fully Compostable Event
At The Forage, we're always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to create great experiences for our community.
This year marks an important step in that journey, with all food and beverage vendors required to use compostable packaging and serving products wherever possible. Instead of ending up in landfill, these materials will be collected and processed into compost through our waste partners - Jillamatong Farm and Waste Away.
We know change doesn't happen overnight, and we're committed to working alongside our vendors, partners and attendees to keep improving each year.
You can help too. By taking a moment to sort your waste into the correct bins, you're helping us divert more material from landfill and supporting a more sustainable future for our events.
